Improve your sharpening skills & learn more advanced techniques.
Our knife sharpening classes are taught by professional knife sharpeners with over a decade of experience each. This class is intended for those with a familiarity with knife sharpening. While a brief rundown of sharpening basics will be given at the beginning of the class, we will quickly dive into more advanced terms and techniques, such as grit level, chip removal, and thinning.

Each class will be about 2 hours and will be held about once a month. Due to the space, class sizes are limited to 5 people.
*If you want to cancel let us know at least 3 business days before, or you will not be refunded.
Location
Our sharpening classes are held in our store outside of shopping hours. You can find it at 1526 NE Alberta Street, Portland OR, 97211.
Materials
We will supply a sharpening stone for you to practice on. You are encouraged to bring your own knives, though we do have knives if you'd rather not. Otherwise, you don't need to have anything other than an open mind and a bit of patience.
Afterwards
You'll go home with a simple sharpening guide printout. Plus, hang out after the class to receive 25% off sharpening stones, & 15% off everything else in the store.
